Dear Friends and Colleagues in the Polish medical community and beyond!

On behalf of the Board of the Polish Society for Emergency Medicine and the Organizing Committee of the Congress, we would like to extend to you an invitation to attend and participate in the 8th International Congress of the Polish Society for Emergency Medicine: Central European Emergency Medicine 2023.

This year’s Congress will be held in the picturesque and history-rich city of Bydgoszcz, a fitting setting for this important event. Bydgoszcz has grown to become a significant academic and clinical center in Poland, and because of this, our Congress offers an opportunity for attendees to develop and cooperate with their Polish and international colleagues on the highest scientific levels.

The biennial Congress of the Polish Society for Emergency Medicine has grown in stature both nationally and internationally over the years. As a consequence, it has gained in prominence and earned placement in the calendar of prestigious worldwide emergency medicine congresses supported by the International Federation for Emergency Medicine (IFEM), the European Society for Emergency Medicine (EUSEM), as well as a number of highly regarded international scientific societies.

This year’s Congress will build upon the successes of previous congresses. We will continue to present a diverse range of lectures delivered by world-renowned experts from Poland and abroad. This year special emphasis will be devoted to the topics of treating battlefield trauma, advanced clinical practice in emergency medicine, and the practical aspects of management in relationship to emergency departments.  A part of the Congress’s program will also include a session dedicated to emergency medicine residents and their use of various media highlighting issues pertaining to emergency medicine. Moreover, a wide range of practical workshops will be offered during the Congress and during pre-Congress events.

This diverse scientific gathering will be held at the Bydgoszcz Trade Fair and Exhibition Centre. Our event will be an excellent opportunity to meet in person the many representatives of Polish emergency medicine who have contributed to the development of the specialty over several generations.

We anticipate that this year’s Congress will create and nurture an exciting exchange of ideas and experiences between physicians, students, and other medical professionals related   to emergency medicine. Finally, Bydgoszcz 2023, will offer an opportunity for professional and social interaction, and hopefully, the creation of future friendships!

We look forward to welcoming you to Bydgoszcz! See you soon!
